Robert C. Dickeson, a deeply experienced consultant and leader, is  co-founder of Academic Strategy Partners. Dr. Dickeson brings almost fifty years of administration, leadership, and consulting experience in higher education, government, and business. A national leader in higher education, Dr. Dickeson has chaired blue-ribbon commissions appointed by three governors in two states; has been an officer of 80 corporate, government, foundation, or public affairs organizations; and served as commissioner from Colorado to the Education Commission of the States. The author of more than 175 publications in the fields of higher education leadership and policy and public administration, Dr. Dickeson taught for 24 years. His book, Prioritizing Academic Programs and Services (Jossey-Bass Publishers, 1999, 2010), is based on his extensive consulting experiences serving several hundred two- and four-year colleges (private and public) and corporations ranging from hospitals to bank holding companies.

Dr. Dickeson is able to leverage first-hand experience with over 700 campuses in North America and beyond in his work with clients. He has witnessed both successes and breakdowns as these institutions addressed critical areas such as balancing the budget, achieving strategic initiatives, and strengthening the quality of the institution. Dr. Dickeson provides practical and well-grounded counsel based on this wealth of experience.

Dr. Dickeson holds an A.B., M.A., and Ph.D. in Political Science and Public Administration from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
